Supercheese | About Us
Supercheese is a specialty cheese shop in the heart of bustling Swan St in Richmond, the brainchild of long-term cheese professional and cheesemonger Jeremy Spradbery.
Jeremy has been in the world of food since the mid-nineties. He started his career working as a chef for some of Australia’s most renowned chefs, including Guillaume Brahimi, Tony Bilson, Jacques Reymond, Phillipe Mouchel and Jeremy Strode. He also served as head chef of Bistrot d’Orsay in Melbourne’s CBD. After leaving the kitchens, Jeremy worked for over a decade with cheese master Will Studd, travelling the world visiting cheesemakers and attending cheese festivals.
In 2012, Jeremy was only the third Australian to be inducted as Guard and Juror into the exclusive Guilde des Fromagers, a now global organisation protecting the traditions of artisanal cheese making.
Supercheese opened on Swan St in Richmond in December 2022. Our shop is a fun and relaxed retail space showcasing seriously good cheeses, focusing on benchmark cheeses produced locally and overseas, particularly raw milk cheeses. We also stock all the lovely things that go with cheese, including wines, specialty breads, crackers and condiments. In-store cheese tastings are regularly offered, allowing you to try before you buy.
Jeremy regularly hosts cheese and wine nights in the shop and offsite, giving people the opportunity to sample cheeses expertly matched with wines, beers or even spirits.
Supercheese is the place for all your cheese needs.
